Insignia has today unveiled a new addition to their range with the unveiling of the new Insignia Flex Android tablet, via Facebook.

The Insignia Flex comes supplied running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor.


Other features of the Insignia Flex include a 9.7 inch touchscreen, and a battery which is capable of providing 10 hours of battery life. Specific technical details for the Android tablet have yet to be released.

This week Sony has announced more details about its new Sony VAIO Tap 20 and Sony Vaio Duo 11 Windows 8 systems, including launch dates and pricing.

The new Sony Vaio Duo 11 sliding tablet Windows 8 system will be arriving later this month in stores for around $1,100, together with the Sony VAIO Tap 20, massive 20 inch tablet that will be priced at around $880.


The massive 20 inch Sony Vaio Tap 20 tablet is equipped with a 1600 x 900 pixel display, and is powered by an Intel Oct Bridge processor supported by 8GB of RAM, and comes with a removable battery and stand that allows you to lay the 20 inch screen flat on a surface when required.

Unfortunately earlier in the week Felix Baumgartner had to delay his space jump from 120,000 feet, due to windy weather conditions. However hopefully if the weather allows, he will be re-attempting to jump this Sunday 14th at 8:30am EDT.


Taking him up to 120,000 feet height above the Earth is a special balloon called the Red Bull Stratos, which has been specially created to hold a colossal 30 million cubic foot (843,497 cubic meters) of helium gas.

Fans of Valve’s Portal series of games are sure to enjoy this awesome Portal gravity gun replica, which has been modified by the Hack A Day team to levitate a companion cube, adding to the effect of the already amazing Portal Gravity Gun.

The Hack A Day team got their hands on a commercially available Portal gravity gun, together with a shop bought levitating globe which you might have already seen on sale.

After removing the components from the levitating globe these were then added to the Portal gun, to create the effect of the levitating companion cube with awesome effect.

We recently heard that Apple had started shipping out their new iPod Touch, and now it would appear that Apple’s new iPod Nano is now available in Apple stores and also in Apple’s online store.


The new iPod Nano features a 2.5 inch multi touch display with a resolution of 240 x 432 pixels, and it now comes with a home button like the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.


Apple’s new iPod Nano comes with 16GB of built in storage, the device retails for £129 and is available in a range of colors, which include black, silver, pink, green, purple and more, you can find out more details over at Apple.
