Engineers at Autodesk have this month unveiled a new device they have
created that allows any surface to become a touchpad. The new Autodesk
technology called Magic Finger is a small device that attaches to the
end of your finger.
The Autodesk Magic Finger is equipped with a
micro camera and optical flow sensor to identify services and detect any

It has been rumoured for some time that Nokia is currently developing
new Windows 8 powered tabletsto add to its range of hardware. Now a
couple of patents have revealed more details about how the new Nokia
Windows 8 tablets might be constructed.
The
Nokia patents reveal two designs and suggest that the new Nokia Windows
8 tablets may incorporate an extended N9 unibody design, if details
within the patents granted to Nokia on March 15, 2011, are to be
considered.

A new video has been created with footage taken from the
International Space Station (ISS) which shows the world from a different
perspective with stunning effect.
The video effects were created
by stacking image sequences provided by NASA, which then created the
star trails and unique patterns, formed by lightning storms, satellites
and even meteors.
The video was created by Christoph Malin who explains: "This
video was achieved by "stacking” image sequences provided by NASA from
the Crew at International Space Station. These Stacks create the Star
Trails, but furthermore make interesting patterns visible. For example

data centers, you might be interested to learn that Google has now
created a website revealing what is behind those closed data center
doors.
As you might expect Google is not that keen on letting people roam
around inside its data centers, even though it does allow guided tours
of its Californian Googleplex headquarters at certain times.

It has been quite a while since we have featured one of the will it blend videos on Geeky Gadgets, and now the guys from Blendtec decided to put a new iPhone 5 and a Samsung Galaxy S III in their blender to see which one would blend quicker.

the video it looks like the Galaxy S III lasted a little longer, so if

Archos first unveiled their new GamePad 7 Android gaming tablet
back in August of this year, but this week an new video has been
published to YouTube which sheds a little more light on the devices
features.
The new Archos GamePad 7 has been designed to run Google’s latest
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and is equipped with a 7 inch
capacitive touchscreen display.
However it is also equipped with controllers on either side of the
screen which can be mapped to a games touchscreen controls, enabling you
to choose between either using physical buttons or touchscreen
gestures, to control your character.
Earlier this month Best Buy announced that they would be releasing their own Android tablet, the Insignia Flex, and now it would appear that we may have some pricing details about their new tablet.
According to a recent report by Reuters, who have received some information from one of their sources, the Insignia Flex tablet will retail for between $239 and $259.
The Best Buy Insignia Flex will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream
Sandwich and features a 9.7 inch multi-touch display, the device is
powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and will feature a battery which
will give up to 10 hours of usage.

We have been hearing rumors over the last few weeks that Apple will be holding a special event this month to unveil their new iPad
Mini, the last date we heard was the 23rd of October and Apple has now
sent out invites for an Apple event on Tuesday the 23rd of October.
The Apple
iPad Mini event will take place at 10.00 AM Pacific Time in San Jose on
the 23rd of October, you can see the invite Apple sent out below with
the tag line ‘We’ve got a little more to show you.’.
Apple’s iPad Mini is rumored to come with a 7.85 inch multi-touch
display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, the device is rumored to start at
around $249 and there are apperntly going to be a number of different
models both WiFi only and WiFi and 4G LTE with varying storage options.
Anyone who enjoys time-lapse video footage is sure to be delighted by
