Samsung has now released the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the LTE version of their Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone in South Korea, the update is available now and can be downloaded over the Air or through Samsung’s Kies software.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE brings a range of new features to the handset, which include Google Now, new notifications, updated widgets and more.

You can find out more information about the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III LTE in South Korea over at Samsung, there are no details as yet on when the update will be available for other LTE versions of the handset.

It looks like Nokia’s new Lumia 820 smartphone is now available to pre-order in the UK, with mobile retailer the Carphone Warehouse, the device is available free on a range of contract and also available for £380 SIM free.

The Nokia Lumia 820 comes with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS, Windows Phone 8, and it features a 4.3 inch ClearBlack OLED WVGA display with a resolution 800 x 480 pixels.

LG has announced a new monitor that is designed specifically for Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system, the LG Touch 10, which is a 23 inch monitor that allows you to use up to 10 fingers at once on the display.

"This is a compelling new product that re-imagines the touch experience and shows that LG is an industry leader in developing the next generation of touch monitor products,” said J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the IT Business Unit at the LG Home Entertainment Company. Archos has added another new Android tablet to its range with the launch of the Archos 80 Cobalt tablet, and the device comes with a 8 inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and a 4.3 aspect ratio.

The Archos 80 Cobalt is powered by a dual core 1.6Ghz processor and it also features 1GB of RAM, plus it comes with 8GB of built in storage and an SD card slot for adding in more storage.

Other specifications include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, plus dual cameras, up front we have a 0.3 megapixel camera for video chat and on the back we have a 2 megapixel camera for photos and video.

Apple is getting ready to release its new iPhone 5 China, and now Apple’s latest smartphone has received the needed approval by China’s regulators, which means the device is one step closer to launching in China.

The iPhone 5  features a new larger 4 inch display, a faster A6X processor and Apple’s new Lightning dock connector, and it comes with a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of storage.

There as no details as yet on exactly when Apple will launch the new iPhone 5 in China, although we suspect it will be some time next month or possibly early December, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.

We have been hearing rumors about Samsung’s Galaxy Premier smartphone for some time now, and Samsung has finally made the device official and it shares a similar design to the hugely popular Galaxy S III.

The Samsung Galaxy Premier features a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and processing is provided by a dual core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor.

Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Premier, include 1GB of RAM, plus Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and it also features an 8 megapixel rear camera for photos and video and a front facing 1.9 megapixel camera for video chat.

The Samsung Galaxy Premier will launch in the Ukraine in November and will retail for the equivalent of $680, there are no details on when it will be available in other countries.

Google has released a new Google Search app for Apple’s iOS platform, the app will work on Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and it comes with built in voice search, which you can see in the video below.

Fast and accurate voice recognition technology enables Google to understand exactly what you’re saying. Getting an answer is as simple as tapping on the microphone icon and asking a question like, "Is United Airlines flight 318 on time?” Your words appear as you speak, you get your answer immediately and—if it’s short and quick, like the status and departure time of your flight—Google tells you the answer aloud.

Microsoft launched the latest version of their PC operating system last week, Windows 8, and now Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has revealed how many people are now using Windows 8.

Steve Ballmer was speaking at Microsoft’s Build developer conference, when he announced that more than 4 million people have already upgraded their computers to Windows 8.



Microsoft has big plans for Windows 8, and they are looking to have more than 400 million users by the end of the first year, this is quite a large task as the last version of Windows, Windows 7 reached 175 million users by the end of year one.

Whether or not Microsoft will be able to hit 400 million users by the end of the first year remains to be seen, it will be interesting to see what the figures are like after then end of the first month.

It looks like Acer has decided to delay the launch of their new Windows RT tablets, according to a recent report by Reuters and the reason behind the delay is Microsoft’s new Surface tablet.

Acer spoke to Reuters and explained that they are waiting to see how Microsoft’s Surface tablet does, before they decide to launch their new Windows RT tablets.



"Originally we had a very aggressive plan to come out very early next year but because of Surface, our R&D development doesn’t stop, but we are much more cautious,” Acer President Jim Wong told Reuters on Tuesday.

"Originally our plan was Q1, but now I don’t think it will be earlier than Q2,”.

Acer were one of the first companies to mention that they were less than impressed that Microsoft was releasing their own Windows RT tablet, we wonder if they will actually release their Windows RT tablets next year or decide to go in a different dire ... Read more »

Apple’s iPad Mini goes on sale this Friday the 2nd of November, it features a new 7.9 inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and a dual core Apple A5x processor.

The iPad Mini also comes with a front facing 1.2 megapixel FaceTime HD camera for video chat and a rear facing 5 megapixel iSight camera for photos and video that can record full HD video in 1080p.

There are two models of the iPad Mini, one with WiFi only and one with WiFi and 4G LTE, and it comes with a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built in storage, and is available with two color choices, black and slate or white and silver.

LG and Verizon have announced their latest smartphone, the LG Spectrum 2, and the handset is now available from Verizon’s website, it looks like it will only be sold online and not in Verizon’s retail stores.

The LG Spectrum 2 is available for $99 after a $50 mail in rebate, when you sign up to a new two year contract with Verizon, and the handset comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
