Google has been working on updating its Street View in Google Maps,
the update is now live and it covers a massive 250,000 miles of roads,
and refreshes the content from the previous version. According to
Google this is their largest update to date, and they have increased
their coverage of roads in the United States, Italy, Great Britain,
Sweden and a range of other countries. Today
we’re making our Street View coverage more comprehensive than ever
before by launching our biggest ever update–doubling our number of
special collections and updating over 250,000 miles of roads around the
world. We’re increasing Street View coverage in Macau, Singapore,
Sweden, the U.S., Thailand, Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark,
Norway and Canada. And we’re launching special collections in South
Africa, Japan, Spain, France, Brazil and Mexico, among others. You can find out more details about the biggest update to Google’s Street View over at the Google Lat Long Blog. Source The Verge |
