Samsung recently announced their first Android powered camera, the Samsung Galaxy Camera, which comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and now the device is available to pre-order in the UK.

UK retailer Clove has just put the Samsung Galaxy Camera up for pre-order, and the device will retail for £399 including taxes, although an exact launch date has not been given.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is powered a a quad core 1.4GHZ processor and comes with a 16 megapixel sensor and a 4.8 inch touchscreen display, plus a pop up Xenon Flash and 21x optical zoom.

Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Camera include 8GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot and 50GB of Dropbox storage for two years, it also comes with a WiFi and 3G data connection, plus a HDMI port and a microUSB port.

Apple launched their new iPad Mini earlier today, and the guys over at Android Authority, thought it would be a good idea to test out how the new iPad mini does in some drop tests.

It isn’t exactly scientific, but both the iPad Mini and Google’s Nexus 7 were both dropped from the same height, have a look at the video below to see what happened.

As you can see from the video, both tablets sustain quite a bit of damage, although it appears that the iPad Mini still seems to be working, so if you are accident prone you may want to look at the iPad Mini over the Nexus 7.

HTC’s new HTC One X+ smartphone recently launched in the UK, the handset comes with a 4.7 inch HD multi-touch display, processing is provided bu a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and it features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The guys over at Clove have put together an unboxing video of the new HTC One X+ which you can see below, and it gives us a look at some of the features on the HTC One X+.

Other specifications on the HTC One X+ include an 8 megapixel camera on the back plus a 1.6 megapixel camera on the front, there is also 1GB of RAM and a choice of either 32GB of 64GB of storage.

Motorola and US Cellular have announced a new Android smartphone, the Motorola Electrify M, and it comes with a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.


The Motorola Electrify M features a dual core 1.5GHz processor and it will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, although Motorola has said that it will get an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the future.


Other specifications on the Motorola Electrify M include 4G LTE, NFC, and a 2,000 mAh battery, it will launch on US Cellular on the 9th of November and will retail for $149 after a $100 mail in rebate, this price assumes that you sign up to a new two year contract with the carrier.

T-Mobile announced recently that they would start selling the new LG Optimus L9 on their network in the US, the handset is now available for $79.99 up front when you sign up to a new two year contract with T-mobile.

This price includes a $50 mail in rebate, and the LG Optimus L9 comes with android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and featires a 4.7 inch qHD multi-touch display.

The 4.7 inch display on the LG Optimus L9 has a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and the device is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and comes with 1GB of RAM.

We first heard about the new Samsung Stratosphere II back in August, the handset is headed to Verizon Wireless, and now a new press shot of the handset has been leaked an posted on Twitter by @evleaks.

The Samsung Stratosphere II is rumored to come with a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, it will feature a slide out QWERTY keyboard and is also rumored to come with a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor.

Other rumored specifications on the device include an 8 megapixel camera on the back for photos and video and a front facing 1.9 megapixel camera for video chat.

There are no details as yet on when the new Samsung Stratosphere II will launch on Verizon Wireless, as soon as we get some more information including some details on pricing we will let you guys know.

Yesterday we saw a teardown of Apple’s new iPad Mini, and now the guys from iFixit have decided to take thier screwdrivers to Apple’s new iPad 4, and we have some photos of what is inside the fourth generation iPad.
  The iFixit team have given the iPad a repair score of 2 out of 10, which means that this is one of the most difficult devices to repair, have a look at the photos below.
