Microsoft recently launched their new Windows Phone 8 operating system, along with a number of Windows Phone 8 smartphones from makers like HTC and Nokia, and now it would appear that there may be some issues with Windows Phone 8. It
looks like users of Windows Phone 8 are having a couple of issues with
their devices, which include random reboots of their device and also
some issues with battery life, the issues have be reported to Microsoft’s own support forum and also the forums over at WPCentral and Nokia’s support forums. The guys over at the Verge have had issues with their HTC Windows Phone 8X device rebooting, and a number of owners of the new Nokia Lumia 920 have also had issues with the handset locking up. There

Activision has today released a new patch for the PlayStation 3 version of their new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 game, which some gamers have revealed are experiencing system on their PS3 consoles.
PlayStation 3 locking issues experienced by gamers were occurring
during online multiplayer sessions, specifically when entering a public
multiplayer lobby.
The issues were reported by gamers to Activision who yesterday said
that they were aware of some players still experiencing system lock-ups
despite installing the patch explaining: "and we are doing everything we
can to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible”.
To install the new patch on your PS3 console simply start-up Call of
Duty: Black Ops 2 and signing to play online, this will automatically

Anyone who has been patiently waiting to get their hands on the new JBL PowerUp Speaker complete with Near Field Communication (NFC) charging unit, will be pleased to learn that JBL has now started shipping the speaker dock.
The JBL PowerUp dock was first unveiled during Nokia’s official
launch presentation of a new Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones, earlier this

Motorola has announced a new version of its Motorola RAZR i smartphone for China, the Motorola RAZR i MT788 which will land on Chinese carrier China mobile next month. The Motorola RAZR i MT788 features a 4.3 inch qHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 860 x 540 pixels, the display comes with Gorilla Glass and the handset is powered by a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor. Other specifications on the Motorola RAZR i MT788 include an 8 megapixel camera
and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, there is also a microSD card slot
that can take up to 32GB of storage and there is also 4GB of built in

SmartQ has unveiled a new addition to the range of Android tablets this week with the launch of their Android SmartQ X7 tablet, which is now available to purchase for $249.
The latest SmartQ X7 Android tablet is powered by a 1.5 GHz TI OMAP
4470 dual core processor supported by a massive 2 GB of RAM, with
graphics provided by a PowerVR SGX544.
The SmartQ X7 Android tablet will ship running Google’s latest
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, and cones supplied with 16 GB

After only launching their new monthly payments subscription as a
trail service for Amazon Prime on November 6th 2012, Amazon has today
announced that the trial will be closing, and the monthly pay option
will no longer be available for prime customers.
The handy monthly Amazon Prime
subscription service enable people to pay a set $7.99 a month with a
slight premium, rather than the yearly subscription of $79.
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to AllThingsD: "We regularly test
new options for our customers. At this time, we’ve completed our test
and are no longer signing up new customers for Amazon Prime monthly
memberships.”

This week Asus has rolled out updates to its range of Eee Box desktop computer systems, unveiling their Asus Eee Box EB1505 and Asus Eee Box EB1035 systems with Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 operating system and upgraded processors.
The Asus EB1505 is now powered by a 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron 847 Sandy
Bridge processor, support by up to 4GB of RAM, up to a 500GB hard drive,
with other options including WiFi, Ethernet, connectivity, and VGA,
HDMI port to name just a few.
The Asus EB1035 measures just 1.15 inches thick, and is powered by an
Intel Celeron 847 processor, with the same specifications as the above
EB1505. However the EB1505 can be equipped with a DVD or Blu-Ray drive,
but the Asus EB1035 has no disc drive at all.

Xbox 360
and PlayStation 3 gamers who have been a little disgruntled with a
number of glitches and bugs found within the new Assassin’s Creed 3
game. We’ll be pleased to learn that Ubisoft has announced that a
huge patch is currently being finalised for release for the new is
expected to go live Assassin’s Creed 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The
Assassin’s Creed 3 patch for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles
"by the end of next week”, Ubisoft explained the Assassin’s Creed 3
official forum. Ubisoft continued by saying that the PC version
will launch with the new patch included, hopefully making for a less
buggy version of Assassin’s Creed 3 for PC than for the Xbox 360 and
PlayStation 3 launch. .

Anyone who owns a Raspberry Pi mini computer, and would like to build
their own version of Google’s Project Glass, might be interested in the
wearable computer which has been created by Instructables contributor
meztek. Meztek has taken a Raspberry Pi mini computer running
Raspbian Linux, together with a pair of display glasses in the form of
the Vuzix Wrap 920, together with a custom-built battery pack running on
2 x AA batteries.
