If you have been following the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn saga you will be pleased to know that a new fifth episode has been released, adding to the story line in the previous four.

The fifth instalment adds another 17 minutes of live-action to the story to the saga, and can be viewed after the jump together with the other four episodes just in case if you haven’t had the chance to see any yet.

We just got an email from the guys over at Unlocked Mobiles, to let us know that they are now shipping the SIM free version of the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, and the handset is available in the UK from today.


The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, it is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini include include a 5 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and auto focus, plus a front facing VGA camera for video chat, and it comes with either 8GB of built in storage or 16GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards.

If you are a road warrior or spend more time being a digital nomad than desk based then the new all-in-one device created by Velocity Micro called the VMultra might be worth more investigation.

The VMultra was first unveiled by Velocity Micro back in CES at the beginning for the year, but its now ready for launch and will start shipping on November 12th 2012 for $200.


Velocity Micro VMultra has been designed to offer an all-in-one solution for mobile users combining a DVD RW, 500GB of storage, USB 3.0 hub with 3 ports and a handy SD card reader.

Velocity Micro have also announced this week the launch of a Holiday Edition $599 Vector PC that is equipped with a dual-core AMD A6-5400k processor, supported by 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

In a press release issued this week Nvidia has announced they have created new Linux drivers which have been designed to provide gamers with double the performance and dramatically reduce game loading times for those gaming on the Linux operating system.

Nvidia explains that their new GeForce R310 drivers have been built to enable GeForce customers to receive the best possible Linux-based PC gaming experience.

Lenovo has this week launched their new Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx Windows 8 hybrid tablet which is now available to pre-order for $600, from a number of online stores within the US and Canada, including B&H, Mwave, NCIX and Newegg (Canada).

The new IdeaTab Lynx Windows 8 hybrid tablet is being listed by the sites as the Lenovo IdeaCentre K3, and comes with an optional keyboard dock which is expected to be priced around $150.


The IdeaTab Lynx Windows 8 hybrid tablet or rather the Lenovo IdeaCentre K3 is equipped with a 11.6 inch IPS 1366 x 768 display and powered by an Intel Atom Clover Trail processor, supported by 2GB of RAM.

t looks like two of the new Windows Phone 8 smartphones are headed to Verizon Wireless on the 13th of November, the new Nokia Lumia 822, which is Verizon’s version of the Nokia Lumia 820 and also the new HTC Windows Phone 8X.


The HTC Windows Phone 8X will retail for $199 when  you take out a new two year contract with Verizon Wirless, and it will also be available off contract for $549.

It would appear that the new Nokia Lumia 822 will retail for $99 on Verizon Wireless, this price assumes that you take out a new two year contract with the carrier, you can find out more details on both devices over at Verizon.

Microsoft’s Surface tablet has been out for a few weeks now, and in general users have seemed very pleased with the tablet, despite the current lack of quality apps available. However some units might be affected by a strange issue that has not yet been resolved.


A thread at the Microsoft Answers web page is where a number of Microsoft Surface owners are reporting having the following problem: the tablet’s sound output gets muted for no apparent reason. Pressing the volume rocker sets the volume back to its previous level, but the mute button gets triggered again at some point, either randomly or after the device is turned back on from sleep mode.

It looks like Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to its Galaxy Note 10.1, and the first county to get the update in Europe is Germany, and it would appear that the update is being rolled out in stages.


The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is around 300MB in size, and the update brings a wide range of new features to the Galaxy Note 10.1.
